BJP’s manifesto is a holy book for me: Majhi

The Uncut

Puri. On Thursday, as the first BJP government in Odisha completed 100 days, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said that the party’s election manifesto is a “sacred text” for him and his administration has fulfilled the promises made to the people. Majhi, a tribal leader from Keonjhar district and a four-time MLA, took charge on June 12. The BJP had ousted the Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal (BJD) from power after 24 years.

Addressing a huge public gathering here, Majhi criticised the previous BJD government and claimed that the people of Odisha rejected the party in the elections for being “anti-people and arrogant”. Majhi said, “Our party won the elections with the blessings and support of the people. During the election campaign, our top leaders had promised to do some work. In the last 100 days, we have completed many such works. Our manifesto is a holy book for me.”
