After Rahul’s attack, Scindia targeted Congress

The Uncut

Bhopal. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying that he should “know the reality” before making any statement. A day before Scindia’s remarks, Rahul Gandhi had said that the ‘India’ alliance has ended the BJP’s Ram Mandir movement by winning the Faizabad Lok Sabha seat. Ayodhya is located in the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency.

During his visit to Ahmedabad on Saturday, Gandhi had also expressed confidence that the Congress will defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2027 assembly elections in Gujarat, its strongest bastion. “There are many people who keep dreaming. The Congress could not even open its account in 13 states (in the recent Lok Sabha elections). In the states where it had a direct contest with the BJP, its strike rate is only 26 per cent,” Scindia said here.

Attacking the Congress, he said, “They are not accepting the mandate, they are disrespecting Sanatan Dharma. The public has put them in the opposition for three consecutive times, but look at their arrogance.” Scindia has come to Bhopal to attend the BJP’s state working committee meeting. Scindia said that in the 2014, 2019 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won more seats than the Congress. In the 2024 general elections, the BJP won 240 seats, while the Congress performed better than the previous elections and won 99 seats.

Without naming Gandhi, Scindia said, “He should look within himself. He should recognize the reality. He should realize where the ground has slipped and then make a statement.” Scindia left the Congress in March 2020 and joined the BJP. He won the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Guna by a margin of over 5.40 lakh votes. Gandhi said in Gujarat on Saturday, “By defeating the BJP in Ayodhya, the India Alliance has defeated the Ram Mandir movement, which was started by senior BJP leader LK Advani. What I am saying is a big thing … The Congress Party and the India Alliance defeated them in Ayodhya.”
