Ajit Doval reappointed National Security Advisor

New Delhi. The government on Thursday reappointed former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Ajit Doval as the National Security Advisor (NSA). This information has been given in an official order. The official order states that his appointment will remain with the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi or till further orders.

An order issued by the Personnel Ministry said, “The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to appoint IPS (retired) officer Ajit Doval as National Security Advisor, which will be effective from June 10, 2024.” It said that Doval will be given the rank of Cabinet Minister in the order of seniority during his tenure.
