Police officials said that this morning, soldier Ajay Sidar opened fire with his service INSAS rifle in the camp of the 11th battalion of CAF located in Bhutahi village under Samari police station area of ​​the district. In this incident, soldiers Rupesh Patel and Sandeep Pandey died and soldiers Ambuj Shukla and Rahul Baghel were injured.

He said that in view of Naxalite activities in areas bordering Jharkhand in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district, a CAF camp has been set up in Bhutahi village. The 11th battalion of CAF is deployed in Bhutahi camp. Officials said that around 11.30 am on Wednesday, CAF jawan Ajay Sidar started firing indiscriminately with a service INSAS rifle. Four jawans were shot in this incident. Jawan Rupesh Patel died on the spot due to bullet injuries. When three injured jawans were being taken to the hospital, Sandeep Pandey died on the way.

Inspector General of Police of Surguja region Ankit Garg said that the soldier Sidar who opened fire after the incident has been caught and is being questioned. Garg said that the injured soldiers have been admitted to the hospital. Their condition is out of danger.
