Jind. Haryana Assembly elections: Congress candidate from Julana seat and wrestler Vinesh Phogat on Wednesday attacked the BJP and said that the Congress’ election symbol hand will prove to be a slap for the BJP government on the polling day on October 5.
Addressing a public meeting in Julana of Jind district, Vinesh said, “This time, the election symbol of our party Congress, the hand, will slap the BJP. On October 5, this slap will throw the BJP government out of power.” He accused the BJP government of not respecting the people of Haryana and said that there is no need for a government that does not respect its people.
Raising the issue of unemployment, the Congress leader said that we want to take revenge for the humiliation and unemployment that has been going on for the last 10 years and we are ready to risk our lives to protect our honor, but the BJP government did not take care of our honor. Vinesh Phogat was a prominent face in the protest against the former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief and BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over allegations of sexual harassment of female wrestlers.
