Jharkhand CM takes a dig at BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatras’, says leaders will be seen hovering like vultures

The Uncut

Garhwa. In an apparent reference to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Parivartan Yatras’ to be organised across the state from Friday in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said leaders from other states would be seen “hovering like vultures, spreading communal tension”.
Addressing a government programme ‘Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar’ in Garhwa district, the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader said that leaders of states like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh will be seen in every village of the state and they will spread communal tension in the name of caste and religion.

The Chief Minister said, “Be alert because a flock of vultures is coming to Jharkhand. They will hover over the entire state. You will see that leaders from Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh are going from village to village and panchayat to panchayat, spreading communal tension in the name of caste and religion.” He said that the upcoming elections are a fight between the rich and the poor. He said, “On one side there is a group of capitalists and on the other side there are tribals, poor, Dalits and backward people.” The opposition BJP will start six ‘Parivartan Yatras’ in different divisions of Jharkhand from Friday with the aim of highlighting the alleged ‘failures’ of the JMM-led coalition government and ‘uprooting’ it from power in the assembly elections.

These yatras will cover a distance of 5,400 km in all 81 assembly constituencies of 24 districts from September 20 to October 3. The yatras will depart from different organisational divisions on different dates. Elections for the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will be held by the end of this year.
