Kerala government will give cash prize of two crore rupees to Sreejesh

Thiruvananthapuram. The Kerala government on Wednesday announced a cash prize of Rs 2 crore for PR Sreejesh, a veteran Indian hockey goalkeeper who played a key role in the team’s second consecutive medal at the Paris Olympics. According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, a decision in this regard was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. It said, “PR Sreejesh, who was a member of the Indian hockey team that won the bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, will be given a cash prize of Rs 2 crore.” Sreejesh retired from the sport after the Paris Olympics.
