Navtaap did not heat up on the first day: Now the heat will increase, there are chances of two warm nights

The remaining days of Navtaap are likely to pass with intense heat this time. Its effect is expected to be seen from tomorrow and there is every possibility of the season’s highest heat in the state on 27-28 May. Weather expert HP Chandra said that the minimum night temperature in May has been a relief so far, but now there is a possibility of the mercury reaching thirty degrees or more. Saturday was the first day of Navtaap, but the state’s maximum temperature could only reach 42.5 degrees in Rajnandgaon. Raipur’s mercury remained confined to 40.4 degrees. There is a possibility of clouds and light drizzle at some places in the next twenty-four hours, but there is a possibility of heat becoming more intense in the central areas.

Monsoon in the Bay of Bengal

According to the Meteorological Center, favorable conditions remain for the advancement of the southwest monsoon. It has reached the southwest Bay of Bengal, the remaining parts of the southeast, central and northeast Bay of Bengal. It is expected to reach Kerala in the next five days and knock in Chhattisgarh within twenty days.

Clouds rained in many areas

According to the data of the Meteorological Department, rain has maintained its presence in the state in the last 24 hours. Four cm of rain has been recorded in Tokpal, three cm in Darbha, Jadalpur, Lohandiguda, two cm in Duldula, Nagari, Tapkara, Manora and one cm in Kabirdham, Surajpur Bakawand. Light rain is still expected at some places.
