Raipur: Liquor shops will remain closed for two days in the month of August, although the state government has issued an order of dry day at the district level for 15 August. According to the order issued, on 15 August i.e. Independence Day, the sale of liquor will remain closed in all the liquor shops, bars and hotels in the state.
Using the powers conferred under the Chhattisgarh Excise Act, an order has been issued to keep all the country liquor (CS-2 ghd), composite liquor (CS-2 ghd composite) and foreign liquor (FL-1 ghd) shops, country liquor warehouses and all hotel bars (FL-3) of the district completely closed on the said dry day. Sale and transportation of liquor and intoxicants will remain completely closed on the said days.
When will the liquor shop remain closed
Liquor lovers get upset if the liquor shop remains closed for even a day. Because on dry day, liquor sale is completely banned. Not only this, if any shopkeeper is caught selling liquor on that day, then there is a provision of legal fine and liquor against him.
