State Congress president condemned the statements of BJP leaders against Rahul Gandhi

The Uncut

Raipur. Madhya Pradesh Congress unit president Jitu Patwari condemned the statements of BJP leaders against Rahul Gandhi and said on Wednesday that the whole country is watching how Prime Minister Narendra Modi is killing democratic values. Patwari told reporters at Raipur airport that Congress is Gandhian (Mahatma Gandhi’s ideas) and will continue to fight against dictatorship.

Patwari said, “The way Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are making statements against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s conspiracy to tarnish his (Rahul Gandhi’s) image through social media by spending crores of rupees has been exposed.” He said, “One of Modi’s (BJP) MLAs says ‘Dadi jaisa haal kar denge’, another calls him the biggest terrorist. Patwari said that the whole country is watching and understanding how Modi is killing democratic values.

He said, “I am confident that the Congress party, its workers, like-minded people will continue to fight against such forces and destructive mindset. I condemn Modi ji, BJP and their ideology.” The Congress leader questioned why no action was being taken against these leaders despite complaints filed by Congress leaders. He also criticized the ruling BJP in Chhattisgarh and said that it has failed to fulfill its promises made before last year’s assembly elections in the state.

Patwari later went to Raipur Central Jail, where he met Congress MLA Devendra Yadav. Yadav was arrested last month in connection with the violence that broke out in the state’s Balodabazar town on June 10. Targeting the BJP government, the Congress leader said that the story of revenge politics and dictatorship has started in Chhattisgarh and Yadav’s arrest is proof of it. Those involved in the arson in Balodabazar are roaming freely and to hide its failure, the state government has blamed Yadav. He said that the court’s decision will ultimately prove that the government itself was guilty of this incident (arson).
Chhattisgarh state Congress president Deepak Baij was also present with Patwari when he met Yadav.
