‘Stree-2’ is the highest grossing Hindi film at the Indian box office

New Delhi. The makers of ‘Stree-2’ claimed on Wednesday that the film has become the highest-grossing Hindi film at the domestic box office with earnings of Rs 586 crore. Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Maddock Films, ‘Stree-2’ was released in theaters on August 15. According to the producers, the film is performing well even in the fifth week of its release. ‘Stree 2’ stars Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana in lead roles.

Maddock Films wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “She is Stree and she has finally done it… The best Hindi film of India till date!!! Thank you very much to all the fans for creating this history with us….” According to the report of the website Saccanilk, ‘Stree 2’ has surpassed the Hindi version of ‘Jawaan’ released in 2023 in terms of earnings. ‘Jawaan’ was the highest grossing Hindi film at the Indian box office till now. The film starring Shah Rukh Khan earned Rs 582 crore in India after its release in September last year.
