Titmus sets new world record in women’s 200m freestyle swimming

Brisbane. Australia’s Ariarne Titmuss set a world record in the women’s 200m freestyle at Australia’s Olympic swimming trials here on Wednesday. Titmuss clocked 1:52.23, bettering Molly O’Callaghan’s 1:52.85 at last year’s world championships. Molly finished second in 1:52.48. Titmuss is the Olympic champion in the 200m and 400m freestyle and now holds the world records in both events.
