Leh-bound SpiceJet flight returns to Delhi after bird hit

New Delhi. A SpiceJet flight to Leh returned to Delhi on Sunday morning after a bird hit, the airline said. The plane landed safely at the airport and all passengers came out normally. The source told PTI that the Boeing 737 aircraft carrying about 135 people to Leh landed safely at the Delhi airport.

SpiceJet said in a statement that the SG aircraft returned after a bird hit the plane’s engine 2. The airline has clarified that the plane did not make an emergency landing, but it landed normally. Earlier, the source had said that a complete ’emergency’ was declared at the airport. After taking off at 10:30, the plane returned at 11 am due to vibrations in the engine.
