Mumbai. Actor Ali Fazal will be seen in film industry veteran Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam’s upcoming film ‘Thug Life’.
Famous filmmaker Mani Ratnam and veteran actor Haasan will work together after 35 years. They are going to work together again for Haasan’s 234th film. Earlier they had worked together in the 1987 hit film ‘Nayakan’. Fazal has started shooting for the film. Silambarasan, Trisha, Ashok Selvan, Abhirami, Nassar, Joju George, Aishwarya Lakshmi and Vaiyapuri are going to be seen with him in the film.
Fazal said, “I am really thrilled to be a part of Mani sir’s vision for ‘Thug Life’ and I can only hope that I will be able to do something better in this film. It is also an honor to work with Kamal Haasan sir and share notes with him on this.” Actor Fazal, who became famous with the OTT show ‘Mirzapur’, said, “It is a great thing to get the opportunity to work with two legends of Indian cinema. I am very grateful to Mani sir for entrusting me with this role and look forward to presenting it on screen.”
‘Thug Life’ will be jointly produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies, Raj Kamal Films International and Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies. Its music was composed by A. R. Will be prepared by Rahman. Fazal was recently seen in ‘Fukrey 3’ and Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Khufiya’. Her next film will be producer Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro…In Din’ co-starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkana Sen Sharma and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
