BJP considers AAP as a challenge, it started ‘Operation Jhadu’ to crush us: Arvind Kejriwal

The Uncut

New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched ‘Operation Jhadu’ to crush the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as the BJP sees AAP as a challenge. Addressing party workers and leaders ahead of AAP’s proposed protest march at the BJP headquarters, he said that big challenges would lie ahead. He asked the workers to be ready to face them.

Kejriwal said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is worried about the increasing popularity of the Aam Aadmi Party. The party has progressed very fast. He has started ‘Operation Jhadu’ to crush the party. In the coming time, transactions from our bank accounts will be banned, our office will also be taken away and we will come on the streets.” He told party workers and leaders, “There will be big challenges ahead of us. Please be prepared to face them. Remember one thing that we had to face many challenges in the past. We have the blessings of Lord Hanuman. We cannot escape from them…we have to follow the path of truth. We want to work for the society.” Kejriwal, who is out on interim bail in the excise policy case, had said on Saturday that he along with other AAP leaders would go to the BJP headquarters on May 19 ‘so that the Prime Minister can send whoever he wants to jail’.

Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal said, “We will march peacefully to the BJP headquarters and if the police stops us, we will sit there. We will wait for half an hour and see if they arrest us. If they do not arrest us it will be their defeat. You can send all of us to jail and see for yourself whether the party ends or goes further.” Recalling his time in Tihar Jail, Kejriwal said that he read Bhagavad Gita twice and Ramayana once there.
