If you hit me once, be prepared to be hit many times by me: Kangana Ranaut

The Uncut

Shimla. Actress Kangana Ranaut, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha seat, says that she does not indulge in fights, but if someone hits her once, then she should be prepared to be hit many times. National Film Award winner Kangana filed her nomination papers for Mandi Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday. Voting will be held in this parliamentary constituency on June 1.

Kangana said in an interview to ‘PTI Video’ that her victory would be the “biggest turning point” of her life.
Referring to the comments of her rival and Congress candidate from Mandi seat Vikramaditya Singh, Kangana said elections should be fought on issues but if he uses derogatory words then they should be prepared to hear the same kind of language.

She said, “Look at my past record, I can challenge anyone. It doesn’t matter how many battles I have fought, but I have always been the first to be targeted.” Kangana said, “I don’t fight, but if I am attacked, I am not one who will bear it silently. If you hit me once, be prepared to be hit many times by me.” The war of words has been going on between Kangana and Congress leaders ever since BJP announced its candidate from Mandi.

Some “derogatory” comments against her were posted on social media platform ‘X’ from the handle of Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinet. Supriya later removed these comments claiming that they were not posted by her, but by someone else who had access to her accounts.

Kangana had called Rahul Gandhi and Vikramaditya Singh as “big Pappu and Chhota Pappu” and Vikramaditya as “number one liar and flip hawk”, after which she came under the target of Congress leaders. Vikramaditya Singh, scion of the Rampur Bushahr royal family, is a minister in the state government and is the son of Himachal Pradesh Congress chief Pratibha Singh and former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.

Referring to an old interview of Kangana on beef consumption, Singh had reportedly said, “I pray to Lord Ram to give her wisdom and hope she goes back to Bollywood purified from Devbhoomi Himachal Pradesh because She will not be able to win the elections. This is because she does not know anything about the people of Himachal Pradesh.” When asked about her Kullu cap, Kangana said that the traditional ornament “Jot” decorated on it is worn on auspicious occasions. He said, “I thought today was the right time to wear it.” He claimed that there is a wave of public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it is unprecedented that a leader who is going to become the Prime Minister for the third term is so popular.
