A woman constable of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) allegedly slapped newly elected BJP MP Kangana Ranaut while she was travelling to Delhi at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday, officials said. The woman constable has been suspended and an FIR has been registered against her, officials said.

He told that during the security check at the airport before Kangana boarded the plane, a CISF constable allegedly slapped the actress. At the same time, Kangana released a video statement saying that during the security check at Chandigarh airport while going to Delhi, a female CISF constable slapped her and abused her. Kangana posted a video statement titled ‘Shocking increase in terror and violence in Punjab’. Kangana said in the video that she is safe and fine, but is also worried about the increasing terrorism in Punjab.

After reaching Delhi, Kangana issued a statement saying that the woman constable came towards her. Kangana said, “She slapped me and started abusing me.” She said, “When I asked her why she did this, the constable said that she supports the farmers’ movement.” Kangana, who was elected to the Lok Sabha from Mandi seat of Himachal Pradesh, defeated the Congress candidate by 74 thousand votes.
