Bilaspur. A newborn girl died and more than 30 passengers were injured when a bus overturned in Bilaspur district of Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Police gave this information. An official said that the accident took place around 11 am near Lalkhadan flyover in Torwa police station area. The bus was going from Bilaspur city to Sarangarh town. He said that some passersby informed the police. Passersby also called an ambulance to the spot.
He said that a newborn girl died in this accident and the injured have been admitted to Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) and other hospitals. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has directed the District Magistrate to ensure proper arrangements for the injured. Sai said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “Sad news has been received about the death of a newborn girl and 30-35 passengers getting injured due to a bus overturning near Bilaspur. The injured have been admitted to CIMS and District Hospital. The District Magistrate has been instructed to make proper arrangements for the injured.”
