Raipur: The State Sports Decoration Ceremony was held today. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai awarded the talented players of the state. Prize money of Rs 76 lakh was given to 97 awardee players for the award years 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Rs 60.33 lakh transferred to the bank accounts of 502 medal winning players; players received Rs 1 crore 36 lakh 33 thousand for the year 2021-22; 06 players were honored with Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 06 with Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 02 with Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 11 with Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Samman, 05 with Shaheed Vinod Choubey Samman and 11 players were honored for Chief Minister Trophy.
For the year 2022-23, 04 players were awarded with trophies for Shaheed Rajiv Pandey Award, 07 for Shaheed Kaushal Yadav Award, 01 for Veer Hanuman Singh Award, 15 for Shaheed Pankaj Vikram Award, 05 for Shaheed Vinod Choubey Award and 24 selected players for Chief Minister Trophy.
The decoration ceremony is being held at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in Raipur. On this occasion Cabinet Minister Mr. Lakhan Lal Dewangan, Dayal Das Baghel, Ramvichar Netam, Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLAs all Mr. Sampat Agarwal, Purandar Mishra, Guru Khuswant Saheb, Pranav Marpachchi (Marwahi), Moti Lal Sahu, Anuj Sharma, Indra Kumar Sahu, Secretary Sports Department Himshikhar Gupta, Director Sports and Youth Welfare Mrs. Tanuja Salam along with players were present.
