Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the cultural building inauguration and Rani Durgavati sacrifice day celebrations organized by the Adivasi Gond Samaj Maa Maawali Mahasabha in the Krishi Upaj Mandi premises of Bhatapara town. During this, the officials of the society welcomed him by wearing a turban.

In the conference, Sai has announced Rs 22 lakh for the construction of the compound of the social building of the tribal society and Rs 25 lakh for the CC road till there. Also, Rs 1 crore 30 lakh was announced for the construction of the road from Gurra to Jogidweep Mela Sthal. Apart from this, he instructed the collector to prepare a proposal for the construction of the road from Tarenga to Dauranga and send it to the government. The Chief Minister gave the keys of the house to 5 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Card to 3 beneficiaries, caste certificate to 4 beneficiaries and honored the meritorious students of the society from the main stage. During this, Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal, MLA Bilha Dharam Lal Kaushik, former MLA Shivratan Sharma, Supinki Dhruv, Lachchuram Kashyap, community chief Banshilal Netam, Collector Deepak Soni, Superintendent of Police Vijay Agarwal were present.

Addressing the function, Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Central Government started the Tribal Pride Day on 15 November every year to strengthen the feeling of tribal pride. Along with this, a grand memorial of Rani Durgavati has been built in Jabalpur. The President of the country, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, belongs to the tribal society. Her being in this highest post is a matter of pride for the tribal society. He said that the society should move forward by uniting and getting education.

Education is the key to development. If you want to progress in any field, education is necessary. He advised the youth to stay away from intoxication and said that youth are getting misled by intoxication. They should use their energy and ability in the right direction. The Chief Minister said that our government is fulfilling the promises made at a fast pace. We have transferred the amount of outstanding bonus for paddy, purchased paddy at Rs 3100 and a lump sum amount to the farmers’ accounts. Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, one thousand rupees are being given every month in the accounts of 70 lakh women. Ramlala Darshan Yojana has been started for Ram devotees to have darshan of Ramlala.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for planting a tree in the name of mother in Mann Ki Baat. We all have to make efforts to fulfill his call. He urged everyone to plant a tree in the name of their mother. If the tree is planted in this way, it will be taken care of very well and the tree will grow soon. He said that tree plantation is very important to save the environment from increasing pollution. Raipur MP Brijmohan Agarwal, former Assembly Speaker and MLA Bilha Dharam Lal Kaushik, former MLA Bhatapara Shivratan Sharma also addressed the function. A large number of rural and tribal society officials and social workers from far flung areas were present.
