Amitabh Bachchan watched ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ for the first time with son Abhishek

Mumbai. Film actor Amitabh Bachchan said on Monday that he watched his recently released film “Kalki 2898 AD” for the first time at a theatre in Mumbai with his son Abhishek Bachchan and some friends. Amitabh has played the role of immortal warrior Ashwatthama in this big budget science fiction genre film, for which he has been receiving a lot of praise. He held a weekly meeting with fans outside his house ‘Jalsa’ on Sunday and then watched the film. The actor (81) has shared several pictures related to it on his personal blog.

Kalki 2898 AD, a mix of the Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction genre, is directed by Nag Ashwin and produced by Vaijayanti Movies. The film is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 600 crore. The film, which released on Thursday, has so far earned more than Rs 400 crore. The film also stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan. Disha Patani, Shashwat Chatterjee and Shobhana are in lead roles.
