The final of the T20 World Cup 2024 was played today between India and South Africa in Barbados. Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first.

Batting first, the Indian team scored 176 runs in 20 overs losing 7 wickets. Virat Kohli played an innings of 76 runs. In reply, the South African team could only score 169 runs in 20 overs. Team India won the match by 7 runs. Before this, the team had last won the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.
