Government should leave ‘bulldozer politics’ and formulate a strategy to deal with wild animals: Mayawati

The Uncut

Lucknow. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday advised the Uttar Pradesh government to give up ‘bulldozer politics’ and formulate a strategy to deal with wild animals. In a series of posts on the social media platform ‘X’, Mayawati said, “In some districts of UP, wild animals are attacking children, elderly, youth etc. The government should take necessary steps to stop it. Laborers and poor people are not able to arrange fodder for their animals and also do wages due to fear of attacks by wild animals. Proper arrangements should be made for them.”

She said, “Along with this, the government should also make a strategy to deal with wild animals. At this time, instead of doing bulldozer politics, the government and SP should leave this matter to the court, where there is full hope of getting justice.” Referring to the incident of a private ambulance driver trying to rape a patient’s wife in Basti district, Mayawati said, “In Basti district, a private ambulance driver, while taking a patient, tried to molest and rape his wife. This is extremely shameful. The victim’s husband has died. The government should take strict action against the driver.”
