Kolkata: Senior Trinamool Congress leader Derek O’Brien on Friday questioned the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the status of the chargesheet in the RG Kar Hospital rape-murder case.
He posted on the social media site ‘X’, “When will the CBI file a chargesheet in the RG Kar Hospital rape and murder case and when will the trial against the accused begin? When?” For the past few days, the Trinamool Congress has been demanding the CBI to file a chargesheet as soon as possible.
In August, the Calcutta High Court handed over the investigation into the case from the Kolkata Police to the CBI. The police had arrested the prime accused in the case, a civic volunteer, after the August 9 incident.
